You get 38⅝″ of floor in the Kuga's boot with the rear seats up, and 68⅛″ with them folded. Some packs longer than 38⅝″ still fit with the seats up, at an angle on their side. There is only ⅜″ of step between the loading sill and the floor, so a pack slides over the sill and along the floor in one move. The sill stands 27½″ high, and above it the opening is 41¾″ wide and 29½″ high. The floor is 41″ across where it is narrowest, which leaves room for wide boxes as well. If a pack only fits with the seats folded, fold them before you lift it, not while it rests on the sill.

At 42½″ × 30½″ × 20″, the STRANDMON wing chair box is a bulky block rather than a flat pack, and it weighs 66 lb 8 oz.
