The Model Y boot is long and flat, with a deep floor even before you fold. The opening is 39¾″ wide × 27⅛″ tall, and the floor already runs 43¾″ with the seats up, stretching to 76⅜″ folded, a gain of 32⅝″. The sill height is 27½″ with a 0″ drop, so the floor sits level with the lip and items slide straight in. The opening is on the low side, so tall boxes can catch on the way through. It is excellent for long flat-packs and big shops, less so for very tall items. Lead with the long edge and slide it in flat.
