The Fabia gives you a wide mouth for a small car: 39⅜″ across and 32¼″ tall, a touch wider than the 36⅝″ of floor between the wheel arches behind it. With the rear seats up the floor is short at 29⅛″, enough for groceries and compact boxes; fold the bench and it opens out to 55½″, a gain of 26⅜″ that makes real flat-pack runs possible. You load over a 26¾″ liftover with a 7½″ drop down to the floor, so you lower cargo in rather than slide it straight through. Long rigid boxes fail at the opening first, so check your longest box against that, and ease heavy items down past the drop.

The 2x2 KALLAX is one of the easiest IKEA packages you will carry: a single flat box of 31¾″ × 16¼″ × 7½″ at 37 lb 8 oz. At under 32″ long it fits in nearly any trunk without folding a seat, small hatchbacks included. The weight is the only catch: it is dense for its size and the cardboard gives you no handholds. Carry it upright against your body rather than flat by the ends, and lay it on its wide face in the trunk so it cannot flip over on the first speed bump.
