The Hyundai Kona 2024 gives you a compact but usable hatchback boot. The opening is 41″ wide by 30¾″ tall, and the floor runs 33⅞″ deep with the seats up. Its strong point is folding: drop the rear bench and the floor almost doubles to 65⅜″, a gain of 31½″. The floor stays a full 41″ wide right to the back, so flat boxes lie square. The sill sits 26¾″ off the ground with only a 2″ drop inside, so sliding heavy boxes in is easy. Long frames beyond 65⅜″ will not go, but most flat-pack cartons will. Load the longest box first, flat on the floor.
