Will DÄNKA Ironing board, 47 ¼x14 ½ " fit in a Ford Focus 2023?

The Ford Focus boot is a compact hatchback space that rewards folding. Seats up, you get about 30⅜″ of floor length, fine for shopping runs, cases and small boxes. Fold the rear bench and it stretches to 61″, a gain of 30¾″, which is where flat-pack boxes start to fit. The mouth is 39⅜″ wide by 31½″ tall, and the floor narrows to 39¾″, so long slim packages ride better than tall bulky ones. The sill sits 27⅛″ high with a 7⅛″ drop to the floor, so lift over the lip, then slide the load down and forward.

One box, 60″ × 15½″ × 2¼″, at 12 lb 8 oz: the DÄNKA is light enough to carry one-handed and long enough to be awkward anyway. Weight is not the problem; length is. A 60″ slab will not sit crosswise in a normal trunk, so it rides diagonally or waits for a folded seat. Nearly any hatchback takes it with the bench down, a wagon or SUV swallows it flat, and it can angle across the rear seat of a sedan in a pinch. Feed it nose first through the opening and keep it supported along its length; a carton only 2¼″ thick flexes if you bridge it, and the corners dent before anything else.
