Will DÄNKA Ironing board, 47 ¼x14 ½ " fit in an Aiways U5 2021?

The U5 is one of the more forgiving boots to load. The opening measures 39¾″ wide by 29⅞″ tall, the floor runs 41″ with the seats up, and folding the bench takes it to 73¼″, a gain of 32¼″. Width holds at 40⅛″ at the narrowest point, so the space stays close to square. The sill sits 29⅞″ up with a ¾″ drop to the floor, near enough level to slide heavy boxes straight off the bumper. Long flat cartons suit it once the seats are down. Load those first, then pack around them.

One box, 60″ × 15½″ × 2¼″, at 12 lb 8 oz: the DÄNKA is light enough to carry one-handed and long enough to be awkward anyway. Weight is not the problem; length is. A 60″ slab will not sit crosswise in a normal trunk, so it rides diagonally or waits for a folded seat. Nearly any hatchback takes it with the bench down, a wagon or SUV swallows it flat, and it can angle across the rear seat of a sedan in a pinch. Feed it nose first through the opening and keep it supported along its length; a carton only 2¼″ thick flexes if you bridge it, and the corners dent before anything else.
