Seats up the floor is short at 38¼″, which limits long loads, but fold the rear bench and it stretches to 64⅝″, a 26⅜″ gain that is one of this car's real strengths. The narrow point still holds 39⅜″ across, so broad packages sit well. The catch is the loading sill at 29⅞″ high, with only a 3⅛″ drop to the floor. Lift heavy boxes onto that lip first, then push them in flat.

The ALEX desk ships as one flat, rigid carton at 53¾″ by 26¾″ and only 3¼″ thick. The thinness helps, but two things make it awkward: the 53¾″ length and the 81 lb 2 oz weight in a single box you cannot split. It lies flat and low, so a hatchback with the rear seats folded, an estate or an SUV takes it easily, while a short saloon boot fights the length. Slide it in flat rather than upright, get a second person for the lift, and pad the leading corners against the boot lip.
